Lyman kits
A lot can be done to these to make them your own. The one has merely been finished and the other I got carried away with. Please note the bolsters.

Excellent !!!
Very nice work and I like the lines you have maintained. I have seen to many bad kit-jobs and your is one of the best. Thanks for sharing .....

Looks much better than the Trappers we built at TSJC; but then again, building the Trapper was only incidental to the lessons they wanted to teach us while it was being built. I still hate mine and have never shot it.

About the only thing that'd make them more swell is a belt hook for field carry! Do these fine pistols wear them?
Also, I see the one in the foreground has an octagon-to-round bbl and a silver (pewter?) nose cap... how you managed those two features I don't know, but they are BEAUTS!!!!!!!! |

Excellent work. The nose cap on the bottom is obviously poured but I don't see anything unusual about the bolsters. Not sure why you used a brass ramrod thimble on that one but it looks good.

M12, They both have belt hooks and you may note they've been carried some.
Hawg, The brass trigger guard needed a bit of balance for the eye. Look closer at the bolsters. |

I was just looking at these online today...the kits don't seem to be in stock many places.

That half round is neat. It really improves the look.
