WTB-Hex heads for Kahr

I cannot get a reply from Kahr about this. I want to buy some hex head grip screws for my K9/E-Nickel. I have no clue what the size/pitch is or any other info. Anyone know? They are not listed in Brownell's or any of the places that sell such things. Maybe shortened 1911 ones would work?
Most appreciative.

You may want to try Hogue Grips.
http://www.getgrip.com

They aren't on the website, but a call or email might get some results.

BTW, Brownells will special order anything if you want to wait.

grip screws

Okay, I e-mailed Hogue to suggest that they consider manufacture/sale of this item. I think it would make sense, they make the nice wooden grips for Kahrs. You guys that have a similar interest might pop them an E-mail also to give them input about market interest. As far as Brownell's special order, I have no idea from where they would order them. It seems like I saw a Kahr custom job SOMEWHERE with them installed, but maybe not. At any rate, thanks for that idea. Anybody else got a source?

Clarification

I meant, if Brownells carries a partial product line they will order one for you from the rest of the manufacturers product line.

no luck

Well, just got a nice note back from Hogue, they have no plans to produce these.
Moderators, can you move this to Gear and Accessories or the Semi-auto forum to get some more views?
Thanks.

CALL Kahr and get the screw dimensions on the thread, length, etc and find a screw company that would have them. Or have a machinist make you some.

1911 grip screws works on my K-9, I just had to shorten the threaded area slightly

screw info

Third time, or third E-mail, was the charm....I think. I got a note from the Kahr customer service folks. They said that the specs on the grip screws are 150-50NS-2A. I guess that is machinist's language, but it is a start. I thought screws sizes were expressed in size, thread pitch, and length.

See if they can give you some help here:
http://ssl.securesites.com/mscfasteners/quotes.htm

or you might find some info here:
http://mscfasteners.com/tech/page2.html

Give them the number and see if they respond.

I can guarantee you that Hogue and others simply repackage screws manufactured by others. MSC is a distributor of all kinds of machine tools and other industrial supplies. I have bought stuff from them in the past and totally spaced them out in your quest for these screws.

Thanks!

Found them off the link, am registering on Gunbroker just so I can buy a set. I'll quit bugging the poor guys at Kahr and the MSC folks now.
