Wifey Wanted A Shooter

(posted to the correct forum)

So, she wants to shoot more often with me at the range.

I ran across a good deal on a Ruger at the Saturday silhouette match.

had optics, 2 mags, and a hard case for $350

Jumped on it.

Took two clicks to sight it in at 50 yds from a rest.

Maybe I should keep it and buy her something else.

Doesn't work... any gun you buy for wife, GF or daughter will always be a "shooter" that you will covet. It's one of them mystical women magic rules ya' know.

That's exactly how this is working out!

She's seen the gun and the target.

My only hope is a 5.5" bull barrel will be better balanced for her.

But I ain't holdin' my breath!

So true! I find the need to "demonstrate" proper shooting with my daughter's Buck Mark much more often than she needs it.

Don't feel too bad... my daughter has "dibs" on every gun I own. She's shot them all... want's them all, especially the 1911s. I tried to sell a Gold Cup a few years ago... she damn near neutered me.

What's a dad to do?

Great gun, had a Mark 1 back in the mid 70's that I learned to instinct/point shoot with. Still kicking myself in the butt for selling that gun.

I like it so much, I'm looking for another one.

My Smith M41 doesn't shoot "$500" better.

Doc, that is a fine Mark II no less. Perhaps if you're really nice your wife will let you put a couple of magazines thru it

My wife made me get her the Browning Buck Mark Camper with the pinkish grips that have the Rose on them, so that I wouldn't be tempted to steal it.
