Loading for accuracy - 1st attempt

Loaders:
So I've ventured into reloading for accuracy. The gun in question is my Henry rifle chambered in 45 colt. I loaded three different powders, fifty rounds each, of the near max load. Dang if one of them didn't shoot inch groups to the 3.5 to four.5 groups of the others. That was at 25 yards off a sandbag rest.
Amazing.
Live well, be safe.

Feels great when you can see (and measure) the fruits of your labor, don't it?

I still remember the day when I knew for certain my efforts were paying off. To add to my doubts and frustrations, I was trying to load for not one, but two rifles that had serious issues- so I wasn't sure I didn't just suck at reloading. When I gave up on those and moved on to my sporterised Mauser and ended up with a 5 shot group with all holes touching at 100yds- I new I was hooked.
