can you bed a synthetic stock?

hey guys, I read somewhere that injection molded stocks are not suitable for bedding (I forget the reasons why...). Is this true? I'm wanting to bed my p14 sporter that has a black synthetic stock, but I don't want to do anything without first knowing if it's going to work or not.

If you can bed a synthetic stock, any suggestions on the material I should use?

Bed them the same way you bed any other stock. Use some aluminum or steel pillars and good bedding compound such as Devcon or Acraglass, and then bed in the normal fashion.

A lot of injection molded stocks cannot be bedded, not because they don't need it, but because the bedding compound will not stick to the stock. Usually, these are the factory synthetic stocks ("Tupperware" stocks) made out of softer, slicker, more flexible materials. Glass-filled nylon aftermarket stocks like Butler Creek and RamLine stocks are also hard to glass-bed. Glass-filled foam or laid-up fiber-reinforced epoxy stocks can be glass-bedded easily and with excellent results.
