Where do "moved" threads go?
I know there must be a simple answer to this, but how do I tell where a moved thread goes?
thanks Seafarer

To the forum its supposed to be in.
A moved message remains in the original forum. |

I have a feeling this will be moved to the tech support section, not sure but just a feeling. Good question though. Click on the moved link and you will go the the thread in it's new location, look at the folders with the greater than symbols, in the grey area that has your info to the right, and you can see that they moved a thread to the tactics, or general discussion forum. It takes some time to figure it out.

Danindetroit is right on both counts. This thread was moved to the Tech support forum and to find where a moved thread went simply click on the 'moved' thread title in the original forum. That will automtically take you to the thread in the new forum. Another possibility is that a thread that seemed to disappear wasn't moved but was deleted instead. That doesn't happen very often, but it could explain a moved thread mystery. |

I've had a post deleted, as well as not being able to find the thread. No big deal only I think there should be a notice posted as to why any thread or post was deleted.

Rt I have a suggestion, just pm a staff member, and ask. They are polite, and will tell you the facts.

That works almost 100% of the time.
Rolling thunder - if you can recall any details of the missing thread (approx. date, thread title, etc.), I'll see what I can find out about it. |
