Hunting over bait in Georgia?

Does anyone have any info on weather or not Georgia is going to allow hunting over a feeder for the 2006-2007 season?

Dont make no difference whether it is legal or not, If you hunt over your feeder, your not going to get but a shot or two, and the deer will start to pattern you.
Find your trails going to, and from, your feeder, and set up about 100 yards from them. That way you will be legal, and you won't spook the deer off your feeder.
Deer get very leary of easy food, and even though they come to it readily, they will get REAL leary about coming to it once they feel threatened.
Mostly, they will change their pattern and come into your feeder when it is dark.

Sorry Stitch, can't help much. It is legal in Oklahoma on deer, but I can't tell you anything about your place.
Sorry,I misunderstood your question the first time round.

Not sure about the upcoming year but in the past it was a BIG NO. If I remember correctly you must be so many yards from or completely out of sight of any feed. And that does not mean 25 yards behind the tree. I am not sure but I dont think it is the same for food plots.
you can probably go to Ga. Fish and game website and find out any info you want. Cashman

Come on guys, Some of you must know the answer to sticthes question.
If the info coming off of the Georgia department of wildlife is as bad as the info coming off of the Oklahoma Dept of wildlife is, he will never find out any other way.
Sorriest way of finding out ANYTHING about your state is to call the wildlife dept. Most of the time, you just wind up talking to someone who is a freind of the guy that got elected, and he doesn't know crap.
I'm still waiting on an answer about the slot limit for bass on McGee Creek, that I called about 2 years ago.

At this time it is still in debate in the house/senate. They are supposed to vote on it this week if I read the newspaper correctly.
