Primers for 8mm and 7.62x54R

Hello All,

Just aquirred some reloading material and want to reload some 8mm and 7.62x54R. In the pile of stuff I received, there is a full box of Rem. No. 91/2M Magnum primers. Can this primer be used in loading the 8mm and 7.62x54R? I am using IMR 4064 and Remington Brass. If so, how low should I start the load before working it up. I am new to reloading rifle catridges.

Thanks in advance!!!
