Rem 870 police trade in pics

This is the 870 that I recently purchased for $120 and asked for advice on fixing up. Several folks here contributed mightily to that process (whether they know it or not). I apoligize for the poor quality pics- I need to upgrade my camera as well, but that's low on the list of priorities at the moment. I promised to post pics ...so here ya go. Hopefully you can see the darn thing well enough to appreciate some improvments though. Sorry I didn't take any "before" shots, but keep in mind that it was a bargain gun. I still need to work on the blueing, but it's getting there. Thanks!

Eric: Ahhh...so that's what that IMG button is for!! Thanks, I'll try that next time.

Thanks once again to Dave, Harley, George and others for the helpful information.

I still haven't shot it yet, but hope to this weekend. I also found a new rifled slug barrel for it a few days ago for $115 (it had a blemish in the bluing so a guy traded it off). Other than that, I don't think it had ever been shot. I'm beginning to like this SG.

Still have the lefty safety issue to work on, but hey... you gotta have a project I guess.

The safety should not be too hard to switch. I just replaced mine with a larger one, and the disassembly was easy.

fed168: I need to switch mine to the other side (lefty). Not easy with the 870.
