How does search work?
Say I want to search for the phrase "chrome barrels". How do I enter that in the search box to just get that specific phrase?
I believe now the search looks for occurances of either word, so I get back a whole lot of useless hits. |

Unfortunately, the search engine supplied with vbulletin is practically brain dead or, at best, retarded. You can't do what you want to do.
However, all is not lost. Google, as you know, is very sophisticated in searching and they crawl all over TFL all the time. Use a search phrase such as the following in Google to search TFL: site:http://www.thefiringline.com "chrome barrels" That should get you what you want. If you need to respond to a thread you found on Google, simply plug in the thread number found there into the following line and access it with your browser: http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=nnnnnn For example: http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...d.php?t=171152 |
