Magazine Subscription

So how worth while is that SWAT magazine anyway? Is it 70% advertisements like a lot of other magazines?

Gdeal-
I'm not going to speak to the value of the Editorial in SWAT. I'll let others do that. As to the advertising mix, SWAT has never come close to 75% advertising; or 50%. When advertising grows, we have more money. When we have more money we add pages.

Pretty simple formula.

Long

TFL emailed me a special offer, I always wanted to subscribe to this magazine, but the calendar with the ladies and guns made me act faster . Only thing is, why does it take so long to get my first issue?

If you subscribe at the beginning of "x" month, will you get that month's issue? If you subscribe at the end of "x" month, will you miss out on that month and only get the next month?

I don't even know if anyone knows the answers to these questions, but rather than starting a new thread, I thought it was appropriate for this one.

Thanks

CG-
Here's the cadence (give or take a couple days in each case, depeding on the month) :

Sep 1: October issue ships
Sep 15: Deadline for November subscriptions
Oct 1: November issue ships
Oct 15: Deadline for December subscriptions
Nov 1: December issue ships

So, if you subscribed on the 16th of September, you missed the November issue. Your first issue ends up being December. That ships the first of November, Bulk Rate. You get it around the 10th. Thus, it can take 7 weeks.

On the other hand, had you subscribed on the 15th of September, your first issue (November) would be in your hands in about 3 weeks.

Hope that helps-
Rich
