Link to material on bending ivory

I am currently enrolled in a scrimshandling class taught by Jim Stevens. Here is a link to his technique on how to bend ivory. You have to scroll over halfway down to see it.

Stevens does not teach the classical scratch/carve technique of scrimshaw on objects that I have used for years. Instead he does bulino which is essentially poking dots into an object to form the picture.

This is his website: http://www.scrimshawstudio.com/
