What would the U.S. Supreme Court do?
In the context of the U.S. Supreme Court decision regarding the Affordable Care Act, affirming that the Federal Government can mandate that individuals buy a product or service like health insurance, would the same U.S. Supreme Court uphold an individual mandate requiring all adults (eligible by Federal Law) to buy a gun for self defense?

I hope this thread doesn't become a political argument.
I think we should assume the philosophical merits of what the OP is asking rather than what would and would not likely happen. |
