Do you have the part or did you lose it?

If you have the part and it broke, a good machinist can make you another one. It will probably need a little bit of final fitting. You can do that with a good file and some 1000 grit sandpaper or take it to a good gunsmith and have him do it.

If you lost the part you'll need to find someone that owns the same pistol and follow the steps above. I'm sure you know by now that LAR was bought out by Remington and isn't offering any help to owners of any LAR made guns!

Last option and one you probably don't want to do is to get on one of the gun auction sites and buy the same pistol. If you haven't looked, I can tell you that they were running right around $2.5 - 3K the last time I looked for one. Plus side would be that you'll be able to fix yours and have two or sell the other one to get your money back. Might not be a bad thing to have two, if a part breaks you'll always have one that's good to use as a parts gun and to copy parts.

I found EWK Arms has them listed on their site for $85 but now are sold out. there is a form to fill out to be notified when they are back in stock. (ewkarms, com)

Thank you 50 shooter and reminton74. The lip broke off. Your right the prices have nuts. I did see EWK and they are sold out. I thought about calling them Monday. I thought maybe someone would have a spare they would consider selling.

If you haven't already looked, check out www.largrizzly.net

You should be able to find info there to get the part your looking for.

The tip of my extractor broke off as well. It's looks like they were cast.
I purchased a new machined one from from EWK Arms (He's sold out again now), and it works perfectly. EWK also has firing pins now.
