Email from Ruger

Ruger sent me an email titled Protect Your Rights.
It makes it so easy to send the president & your congressmen a pre written letter.

This really was a painless way to get email sent to my reps.

Suggest all use this system to accomplish our desired goals.

Well done Ruger

Done.
This is about the 5th memo I've sent to my reps. Well except the newly elected Sen. Tammy Baldwin (WI) who doesn't seem to have her contact info up yet

^^^ On my Ruger-Letter, our "Friend" Ms. Baldwin was included.

Hope our state-mates soon begin to realize what a mistake they made when they elected her and not her opponent last fall.

We talked about at the IDPA match. Nice change for Ruger if you know the history of old Bill during the first AWB fiasco.

Good for them.

I just hope they are not on the wrong side of history twice in a row.

I think Ruger is thinking with their pocketbooks, not their conscience. However, their pocketbooks favors liberty, so I am not one to complain right now.

Well that was shockingly easy. Great job Ruger! I was thinking about a Mark III or a 22/45, I guess now is the time. Thank you!

agreed. it's no coincidence that Ruger, who has probably profited immensely from the sales of their Mini 14 (and other guns), is taking the lead on this petition. don't get me wrong, I don't blame them for wanting to make more money but I find the whole thing disingenuous

If you go to that page and keep hitting your refresh button, you will see the count of how many people are sending in letters climb real fast! Cool!

I think protecting the SR556 may be more of a motivator for Ruger than the Mini-14. That whole "pistol grip" and EBR thing...

Old man Ruger was not pro SD guns early on. He or the company designed a very compact 22 LR pistol when he did the first versions of his gun. According to a story in a Guns and Ammo digest on 22s - he didn't make it as it was too conceable.

No, despite their motivations - Ruger, the company is admirable.
