The Assault Handguard Ban of 2013
You guys won't believe this.
http://militaryarms.blogspot.com/201...n-of-2013.html I caught this on CSPAN yesterday. Feinstein is defining the front handguard of a rifle as an evil feature that when coupled with a detachable magazine makes the semi-automatic firearm an "assault weapon" under the proposed AWB of 2013. When I read the bill and the clause dealing with "barrel shrouds", I took it at face value. I thought she was talking about an actual barrel shroud. It appears that's not the case. |

By this definition a mosin 91/33 has a barrel shroud?
Double-speak at its best.

Barrel shroud.
I can't hear the term without flashing back to Congress Person Carolyn McCarthy who in my mind became infamous as the woman who wanted to ban 'the thing that goes up'. The honest interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSPrHl_6bO4 An edited version that makes fun of her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5dT3r_oHoo |

Oh, dear. She is even dumber than I thought. Worse yet, I have to live in her state for the next 2 years.
