Does anybody have a source for the Hornady 53 Grain V-Max?

The BC is .290 and I would like to try some loads before the Varmits are out. I can't find it anywhere in in boxes of 100's or 250's. You need to get to the 68-69's to beat this BC.....

Thanks,

Don

This is the bullet only for reloading. I shoot .223 and 22-250.

Sorry I should have made that statement in the first post.

22 cal .224 dia 53 grain V-max

I know in a 55 gn V-Max that a very accurate in the 223

55 V-Max
25.5 Varget
2.25 COL

Im sure in that area would work for 53 V-Max too as they are a very good bullet all around

Thanks for that info Jim.

I tried:
Midsouth
Natchez
AbleAmmo
Midway
Graff's
Cabela's
GanderMountain
Bruno's
Weidner's
Powder Valley
Nobody had them in stock, I never looked at Midway to see arrival date.

I have tried the 52 and 53 Hornady and Sierra match bullets with 52 Nosler Custom, and 52 Speer Target/match, nothing comes close to the BC of this light bullet for the .224 Dia bullet list until you get to 68 Grains Bullets.

It should be able to buck the winds better than most bullets with weights less than 65 grains and still be able to explode. The 68's and 69's don't explode like the V-Max does or travel as fast.
