Please clear something up for me.

The Taurus Millenium Series- are the striker-fired, DAO, or DA/SA? I may buy one this year as a new EDC. But I prefer striker-fired or DAO in autopistols. particularly carry guns. Whether they are or not is a deal-breaker, as this will be a new CCW. If they truly are DA/SA, then I'll go with something else.

Unless they have changed the design, they are SA unless the hammer drops on a dud or empty chamber. Then it reverts to DA.

I had one a long time ago. PT-145. I'm sorry brother, but it was complete junk. Look for something else.

I had a new PT111 millenium pro. Right out of the box it couldn't cycle 3 rounds without jamming. Sent it back to Taurus, they had it for 5 weeks but when I got it back it was a complete 180---accurate and never FTF. Had my son and one of my neighbors shooting various guns the past few weeks and they all liked the millenium best. Neighbor actually bought it from me.

I have a millennium pro PT145 and have yet to have a ftf. Carry almost daily and 380 on pocket carry days. About 500 rounds and no jams or misfires, Fed 230grn hydra-shock JHP for cc, rapid fire 10 rounds with no problems. I may have the exception but it works every time.

I am really interested in the PT145. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't ine of the smallest 10 rd 45 out there? the Glock 30 is longer and a little heavier, but it is shorter. Any other 10rd 45s comparable?

6.12" long (glock 30 6.77)
22.2 oz (glock 23.99)
1.25" wide(glock 1.26")
5.12" tall (glock 4.76"

If you want the characteristics of that really unreliable handgun in a really proven gun, then the Glock 30sf is your pick

i have a taurus pt-145, 10 shot. it has been totaly reliable. it is one of my favorite daily carry guns and night stand guns. i have a few other taurus revolvers and semi autos and have never had a single problem with any of them.

I thought I had to have one but we sent so many small Tauri back for repair I decided not to buy it, I really liked the gun, 10 rounds of ..45 in such a small
package. I'd still buy one if I could run 500 rounds thru it first.

I also have a Taurus PT-145 and no failures. They are striker fired and have a 2nd or 3rd strike capability unlike the Glocks.

I have a PT-111 Mil Pro. The trigger depends on the model, but mine is double action only with repeat capability, meaning the slide doesn't have to cycle to reset the trigger. Looks like some models are single/double action.
I have never had any issues with mine. It is a decent shooter. A bit more difficult to shoot accurately than a single action trigger, but it's not meant to be a target gun.
