Can anyone identify this stock?

A buddy gave me this stock the other day, not really sure what its for. Looks like its something semi auto judging by the cutout on the side right above where it looks like a magazine goes. Also inside the forend, it looks like its cut out for a gas tube? Magazine looks like it could be for a 556 size cartridge.

SKS would be my first guess. What's the distance between the mounting screws?

I used to love being able to hit hard at 1000 yards. As I get older I find hitting a mini ram at 200 yards with the 22 oddly more satisfying.

There is only one mounting screw, the one shown on the bottom of the stock where the back of the trigger guard would go.

Yea, I'd say that's an SKS stock.

I have an old SKS folding stock laying here and it also has the hole behind the trigger group. Looks like the link Tidewater_Kid was kind enough to provide. I am going with SKS also.
