how to find Info on a custom Paul Jaeger Mauser
Hello this is my first post.
I have a custom Paul Jaeger Mauser in 30-06 that was left to me many years ago. I have been using the rifle for hunting but am curious to find out when the gun was made and its value. Anybody have thoughts on how to do this. I tried searching the web (thats how I found this forum) but could not find specifics. thanks for any help. |

Paul Jaeger, of Jenkintown, PA, had a large custom gunsmithing establishment from about the end of WWII to sometime in the 1970's (I think). The shop turned out thousands of custom rifles, most of them built on GI "bringback" Mauser rifles. AFAIK, they are now out of business and I doubt there is any way to determine when a specific rifle was built.
They did good work, so you have a nice rifle. Jim |
