We don't need many 2-300 yd shots around here. My favorite varminter up to coyotes would be my .17HMR. I know that's not what you have but my point is I believe your .223 would be completely sufficient. If they made a round like the CCI .17HMR Dynamite for the .223, I guarantee they'll work. Talk about your pink mist!!! They field dress them.
