Houston Man Charged Under Bumpstock Man
The man, who is also a prohibited person generally, was found in possession of a bump stock after sending an angry, deranged letter to the George W. Bush Foundation and receiving a visit from the Secret Service.

Nothing like self-identifying yourself as:
A felon in possession Possession of a prohibited item Being an idiot by advertising to and entity you should know will forward your love note to the police. It almost takes the fun out of arresting the guy it’s so easy.

Yeah, that’s pretty much a “Dear Feds, Please send me some sweet lovin’!” letter.

This just shows the dire need for "red flag" laws and universal background checks because...oh. Right.
They've got him on felon in possession for the guns. It'll be interesting to see if they push the "machine gun" charge for the bump stock or if they just drop it.

Possession of a bump stock is a great holding and backup charge.
