Most Grunt in '06 action

Hi All,

Sako claim to have fitted the most grunt possible into an '06 action with
the 9.3 *66 mm Sako.

Now for mine, that is a bit too big a hole in the end of the barrel --
I want:

1. Something with enough calibre to do the job for samba (that means more than .277, I guess)
2. No more than 0.338.
3. Good at longer range than the 9.3 is practical at.
4. Must feed well in a bolty (Sako 75).

What do you suggest? Has anyone necked down the 9.3 * 66?
is there a better option?

I was thinking of a 280 RCBS. ANy other options?

Looking forward to some ideas.

Kind regards,
Matt

The 8x68s case is about 0.06" longer than the 9.3x66, and has about 5 grains more water capacity, but is in the same general energy ballpark as the Sako without getting up into the magnums. Also, there are several .323" bullets to select from that are suitable for Simba.
