.338 Ultra Mag brass?

A friend of mine just bought a .338 Remington Ultra Mag and can't find any brass for it.

Can anyone give me a source for it?

I know winchester makes it, saw some at the range last week.
I'm in Utah, so I can't help you with a local source, but I would suggest trying midway or Natchez.

Thanks, Ben, but they don't have it. Neither does T & T or Wideners last time I looked.

This early in the cartridges life he will probably have to buy factory ammo to get the brass for reloading. If he does find someone carrying other RUM caliber brass; remember that the 338 RUM is slightly shorter than the other RUM calibers, so if he reforms other caliber brass he will need to check the newly formed neck carefully to see if it needs to be turned to remove extra brass.

what isze is it in the .338 rum.will it fit a .338 win mag action

The 338 rem ultra mag is bigger than the 338win,Midway has brass and I just got a catalog from Wideners listing it for 55.00 per 100 ,also Arms and Ammo stocks it.I dont believe Winchester makes 338 ultra mag brass.
