which surplus powder?

Well I finally got that .308 that I always wanted for an early christmas and I was wondering what ya'll reccomend for a good surplus powder. I already use a bunch of wc820 in the .357 mag with wonderful results! also what do ya'll reccomend in surplus powder for .223? Any comments/questions/rants/flippant comments/cash/geeky sayings appreciated and welcome!

One answer, WC-844! For both of your shootin irons, loads with H-335 data. If they don't have any 844, WC-846 is very close in burning rate, more suited to the .308. Both are ball powders.

Another option is 4895 loads like IMR 4895. it's a stick/extruded powder.

The surplus IMR4895 I got acts like H322 in 308 and 257RAI, but acts like IMR4895 in 8x57mm.

I wish I could get more.
