Favor please?

I am looking for a load for 358 win shooting a 158gr LRN and 158gr JHC. I need to fire some military 308 brass that has been resized to 358win before I load up some hunting ammo.

I only have the Speer manual and wanted to get as many recipes as I can. Would any of you with different manuals post some of the loads for me?

Any help is appreciated.

Try the various powder manufacturer's sites.

Several of them list recipes for many calibers. Each using just their own powder, of course.

I think you will have a hard time finding data for the 358 Win with a bullet as light as 158gr. All my data starts at 180 and up.

Here's a link to Steves Pages. I've used his data before and found it to be reliable. He has the data you are looking for but you have to accept terms to view the info- no big deal, he's just covering his backside.

http://stevespages.com/page8c.htm

Hope this helps.

Outta town at the moment, but I hope to look this thread up when I get back.

Handloads.com also starts at 180 grains. Hodgdon.com starts at 200 grains.

Okay Trapp, only cause we must be bro's that I have gone to the trouble of looking in some of my books.

For the 158 grs bullets the following from the Speer #13:
RE7 44.0-48.0 grs max= 2850'ps
H322 48.0-52.0 grs max= 2782'ps
IMR4064 48.0-52.0 grs max=2730'ps

Now you might have to get a liitle creative with this data-
For the 150 gr Jacketed bullet the following from the Lyman 45th edition:
IMR3031 45.0-50.5 grs max= 2808'ps
IMR4895 48.0-53.5 grs max=2747'ps
IMR4320 50.0-55.0 grs max=2717'ps
RE11 45.0-50.0 grs max=2666'ps
BallC2 52.0-57.0 grs max=2785'ps
H335 52.0-57.0 grs max=2801'ps
H380 50.0-54.5 grs max=2500'ps

You're bound to have one or several of those powders. Considering you are fire forming, you don't have to go to max loads, just get over 40,000lbs pressure and your in. That's why I included the data for the 150's. If you still have issues with this data let me know, I may just have 150 bullets but I'm not going to look unless totally necessary. You have no idea how many bullets I have to look thru.

Granted that data is for 35 rem, not 358 win, but it is also available online at hodgdon.com.

Hornady Seventh Edition starts at 180 grains. Sorry, not much help.
