Photos Pennsylvania fallow bucks

These fascinating large antlered deer are from Macedonia and southern Europe. Three color phases: white, chocolate, and spotted. For centuries they've been stocked by wealthy Europeans for private hunts. Our nation's first President, George Washington, introduced several breeding pairs to his Mt. Vernon estate.

Currently thriving throughout North American game ranches and available for the trophy hunter. Cost is less than half of a Wyoming mule deer hunt. No limited access license to apply for. Hunting seasons quite long indeed, typically from Sept-March. Ideal for those of us who had very limited time off from work to hunt native deer.

My sole reason for sharing these photos and information is to widen deer hunter's horizons a little. Many species of deer inhabit our planet. All created by our Lord for our good stewardship.

Good hunting to you.
Jack
