I am pretty sure most modern firearms, such as the xD line, can handle +P ammo unless specifically stated otherwise in the manual. That being said, make sure you read your manual before shooting anything more powerful out of it.

I regularly shoot the extra velocity magtech HPs out of my XDM45c, they are currently my CCW load. they are stiff but the XDM can handle them. the XD was designed with Nato spec ammo in mind as it was originally designed for the Croatian military so any extra velocity ammo short of buffalo bore is fine.

Yep same here, my carry round in my XDm 3.8 compact .45 is Hornady TAP 230g +P.
