CA Handgun able to be registered if not CA certified handgun?
Currently I live in CA and am looking to find out if I can register a non-California certified handgun here. It has been more than a year since I have moved here and found a process called " CA voluntary firearm registration".
To do this do I have to have a CA certified firearm? If this is possible, would I be able to use this firearm to apply for CA concealed carry? |

The Roster has nothing to do with registering a handgun you move to CA. You are supposed to register handguns within 60 days of moving one into the state, and the correct form is the New Resident form.
The Roster has no meaning for a handgun being listed on a License to Carry, if you can get one. A few issuing agencies have a different opinion, but that opinion is not supported by Penal Code.
