I get mine at the range. For free. Either ask if you can collect it--some will let you, some won't--or ask someone who's shooting .308 and not saving, if you can have his brass.

Just watch out for Berdan-primed milsurp brass.

Scharch manufacturing has it in stock for about $85/500. Not pure Lake City, but military. Mixed LC, WCC, FC. The nice thing is it is fully processed, so the primer crimp is gone and it's cleaned up.

spend some $ get some good brass ie Nosler or Lapua. No need to worry about varying brands. Consistency is a key to accuracy!

I haven't bought from Jeff for some time, but www.gibrass.com was always a good source for great-quality brass at a reasonable price.

I have the same rifle in .308 and .223 (Also have an LTR in .308). I have been using Winchester brass and have had good luck with it. At $40 per 100 you cant beat it. The PSS is a great rifle and though its accurate I am not sure if its accuracy would improve much with more expensive brands of brass. Consistancy is the goal, and most important is your shooting skills.

thaks for the ideas

honestly I would get new brass like norma lapua etc, but I just dont have that kind of money and I'm not shoting competitions. just paper, cans, bottles, and maybe a deer or two so i dont need .03 groups but sub moa would be nice and I think military brass will do for that(at least I hope)

I do have another question though: If I order processed brass will I have to resize it because of shipping and other unknowns? or is it ok to leave it alone and start loading

Im telling you, buy a bag of 100 Winchester...it will last you a long time if you load on the low end. Military brass is good as well.

The safe thing is to re-size and measure OAL. I find a lot of commercial ammo with brass longer than spec.

Keep watching GunBroker--I know I've gotten them at a better price than that, but it's been long enough I may have forgotten. Although, the last I bought were Winchester.

I know your looking for a good price. I use to buy win or rem. I just started using the laupa. I am very happy with it. I think by the way it holds up, and being most the time ready to shoot it is worth the price in the long run. I dont know how many reloads I will get out of them, but I bought them for a .243win and a 30-06. I have about six on each now, and they are still looking great.
