ya. i like plain jane too...
when i was a kid. we had an old remington 870 , plain barrel 30'' barrel ? mod, choke.
16ga. was a great old wingmaster, shot everything from mice to deer with that old girl. just love the looks of ''plain jane'' ...... weet

I think he meant a plain old Remington 16 gauge shotgun that didn't have anything fancy on it like you see on a lot of newer shotguns. It is common for people to give their "toys" like cars and guns female names, or refer to them as "she" or "her."

I feel the same way about an old Ithaca 37 that use frequently. No rib, no extras - it functions flawlessly and has for many years.
