"New" Model 60-15, 3", .357 Magnum
Just picked up a nice 60-15 (manufactured in March 2016) used in West Michigan.
I was never going to buy a S&W with a "Hillary lock" on it, but I kept walking back to this gun and finally it left with me. Just got back from the range and am really liking this revolver. A web search indicates that it could be quite unpleasant with full house .357 rounds, but I found it manageable. However, what I really like, is how it handled 125 grn, SJHP, Remington +P ammo. Very accurate and quite pleasant to shoot. I also found the my only 5 round speed loader works great (I was never trained in the use of these things and so far haven't had great luck with them). S&W must have designed these very nice grips to work perfect with a speed loader. I guess the "Pro Series" is somewhat in between the regular production guns and the "Performance Center" models. I like the details on this gun and am looking forward to carrying it and a speed loader for normal carry situations. I did notice that the dreaded undercut of the barrel on Model 19's is missing on this gun. There is not undercut on this two piece barrel system. Trooper Joe |

Nice piece. 3" round butt Smiths are the ultimate concealed carry revolvers, IMO.

I know one of the model changes for the M19 had the grips altered to accommodate speed loaders. No reason to think the smaller framed 60 wouldn't have the same thing. Personally, I don't care for speed loaders. I like to load "old timey style" by loading two at a time. |

I just bought a 686 SSR, and didn't realize it had a 'little brother' in carry format. Thanks for likely costing me $$!

Love the wood grips on that 60, but dunno if I can warm up to the slab side barrel. I like round ones on modern wheelguns.
Would still consider one if the deal was right. |

Would still consider one if the deal was right. Never thought much about a "slab"side revolver until I saw Mr. Revolver Guy's gun. http://www.dayattherange.com/weapons/DSC00140.jpg I guess it sort of grows on you. Trooper Joe |
