Kitchen hare

After a quiet Sunday arvo surfing the net and keeping the kids happy, I went to the kitchen to start an early dinner, it was 5pm, i looked through the window and not expecting anything, I saw two hares ;D

Excited i swiftly moved to the gun locker and unleashed my newly acquired FX cyclone

Having never shot a fury critter with an airgun, that & the last couple of spotlighting trips have been cancelled dew to rain, I was a bit nervous as I quickly snuck round the back in between the shed and the water tanks

Slowly I edged my gun round the corner, the crappy temporary bushnell banner scope gave me enough light to work with, I aimed and snapped a round off just down and back from the eye

the result:

I aimed at the other hare but he was to quick for me, next inspector gadget, next time!

That's a good way to have a pan thrown at you in my home. My wife skins cellophane only. Game goes though me the entire trip to the table.

Yeah, I actually looked it up before posting, but felt compelled to ask anyway... because it bothered me.

I'm OK now. Took my meds, had a nap, drank a cuppa and had a smoko.... still feel like a drongo.

G’day mates

Nice shot...Huge Jackrabbit? That's what it looks like from my not-ever-hunting/seeing-them-in-real-life perspective.

I usually skin stuff around here, but my wife will help me willingly enough.

She even requested her own quality (Marble's) skinning knife after we skinned a buffalo together (which I happily bought for her before we went after the next buffalo).

The other day I had a coon to skin, and it was getting a little late. She helped me with that too, although they don't really take long.

I love being married to a gool ol' ranch gal!

Niceshooting. I've been wanting to pick up a pre-charged airgun like your FX for a while. Looks like they do the trick. How are you refilling yours, what kind of pellets and velocity are you getting?

Been using nothing but RWS springers for years with the .22 kodiak's. 21 gr. pellet really puts em on their butt.
Been using the bushnells for years too,as they are one of just a handful of scopes that can take it. You having a precharge, are being a bit easier on yours. That scope will last forever on there. Nice setup..J.R.

It has three power setting
Low- 630fps
Medium- 745fps
High- 930fps

I feed it .22 JSB exact

I use a hand pump to refill, I like it,
its good motivation to do a workout and doesn't take long

The scope i want to upgrade to is a Gerholdt & Reuss 3-12x40 with the AO down to 10yards Ideal for any airgun
