The only thing Dillon is the die. It has a switch in the center of the turret that winds up the motor as the shell is approaching the top. If you go too fast, the motor doesn't get going in time and it will bind and need to be backed off slightly and pushed back up. I don't like the idea of running the motor continuously because it will settle the powder in the slider causing heavy loads and also vibrate the primer feeder causing potential tipped primers and such.
You could probably put one together with a small cheapo lathe and drill press. You'd need a little tooling, but then you have some dandy machine tools too! Stay away from those 3 in 1 machines they are JUNK. Smithy and the like. That's what I have. |

I'm still very green on the reloading scene, but I shall have to try this out. Any problems with rolling the edges of the brass instead of a clean trim?
