Adjustable Butt Plate?

Can you guys recommend a good one? 3 or 4 adjustments? I have a BPS that is very close to fitting me, just need raise it a little. Also is this something I can do on my own, or do I really need to seek out a gun fitter for truly proper fit? Thanks.

Yes you do.

Morgan adjustable shotgun recoil pad

http://morganrecoilpad.com/ I have used them. Depends on your skill level when it comes to installing it. I did mine. I would not cut the stock, if at all possible. [IMG][/IMG] The are flat or curved. The metal plate that goes against the wood has to be ground down. I used a sand disc in a 3/8" drill .

I have one gun with one installed...it's a Jones pad.....and you can get them thru Brownell, Midway, etc....

They come with installation instructions....and you can read & evaluate whether you can do it -- or have to take it to someone. Depends on your skill & confidence level...

Not necessarily ...you can vary the thickness or style of the recoil pad..

This is a Browning Citori XT Trap ( 32" barrels ) with a GraCoil system and a Jones Pad on it. Installing the GraCoil is more complicated...of course.

Actually both guns in the photo are XT's -- both 32" barrels the top one is "stock" / the bottom one is about a grade V/VI upgraded Turkish Walnut stock from Factory, that I actually bought used.
