I'm in the market for a slug gun and I need some help
I know I want a 20 gauge semi-auto but outside of that I'm not too sure i'm kind of leaning towards a synthetic stock but I only lean that way because I think it's quite a bit lighter. And I'm going to be using slugs so I want a rifled barrel... Does anybody know anything like this or close to this?

My personal preference is a smooth bore and rifled slugs (rifled barrel with sabot slugs is much more expensive as far as ammo costs go, but more accurate). Personally, I'd rather hunt to within 100 yards anyway, so no need for a rifled barrel. My shotgun (Mossberg 500) has a smooth bore barrel, making it more versitile since a rifled barrel is only good for sabot slugs.
Of course you could easily buy more than one barrel to keep the versitility.

My neighbor and deer hunting bud uses a browning semi auti in 20 ga with a rifled barrel, he can sure hit them targets waaay out there. I use a Winchester 1300 in 12 ga rifled barrel. Knocks them down fast.

I was thinking of picking up a 20ga 870 green on black rifled w. scope..Fairly cheap around 350 at dicks, figured it would be plenty to get the job done

Welcome aboard, Idaho. Remington anticipated your desires. You want something like their Model 11-87 Sportsman Synthetic Deer gun in 20-ga, #29877. They also have similar models with camo and thumb-hole stocks.

I would agree if you want a semi automatic get a browning my mother used to have one it was a great gun. Personally I have a mossberg bolt action 12 ga slug gun with a scope and a rifled barrel and I have killed deer out to 200 yards with the gun. Look at the savage model 220 f 20 ga slug gun it is bolt action but all I you need is one shot normally Get a good scope on the gun and you should be fine. My brother has an 870 remington 12 ga with a rifled barrel it shoots well and is slightly cheaper than any semi auto.

I have a 11-87 Turkey gun that doubles as home defense. Great multi-purpose. Rifled slugs do fine.
