Kernel - you almost got me
FYI, powder is 7,000 grs /pound. If the loading is 5-5.5 gr per round, there will be substantial amounts of powder left from each purchase, and soon, there will be no powder cost for a loading of 1k rounds. Secondly, Rainier is quite expensive verus Oregon Trail (38.50/1k), or some even cheaper leads out there. so, if you add 38.50 and 22.00 (free powder sometimes) you get 60.50 per 1000, or 6.05 per 100, or 3.03 per 50.

also thought about handloading. Has anyone had any mishaps or accidents with their reloads? How dangerous is it to reload your own?

I agree with Priddy's comments on the first page. Don't get involved....I designed my house to be built with covered rifle range (hoping to squeeze in 600 yds. >drool< >drool<
