Glock question

I bought a new g19 Gen 3 yesterday and when I was cleaning it to go shoot it I noticed about a 1/2 inch long cut on the polymer. Looks like something sharp was pressed down on it. Just wondering if this is something Glock will cover or just my own stupid mistake of not looking carefully at the whole gun in the shop. Its something I can live with just makes me mad I didn't notice it at the store.

That sounds to me like an issue that would fall in between yes and no on the warranty. If it happened at the factory they should fix it but I would assume that something that big would be caught by Glock's quality control people had it happened at the factory so chances are if you didn't do it then it happened at the shop. I've heard a lot of good things about Glock's warranty but if the shop damaged it I don't see it as something the manufacturer should or would pay to fix.

Will post pic when I can. At work now and will try tonight. Sorry for not being prepared for this post. Just wanted to see what y'all think because I have been kicking myself for not catching it at the store

Don't worry man..I can't begin to tell you the times I've been so excited to get a new gun that I have overlooked something that was wrong with it. Don't beat yourself up about it. I'm sure it's nothing bro.

Let me guess, it's on the frame, right under where the recoil spring goes... right?

It's semicircular? Metal showing through underneath?
