Will Don Hume 721OT for XD 45-4" work with XDM 45-3.8"??

They don't make a 721 O.T. for the XDM 45 3.8. So I called Don Hume today and asked the CS rep. if the 721 OT for the XD 45 4" would work with the XDM 3.8? Her answer was "probably". She also said they have no plans of tooling up to make a 721 OT for the XDM 45 3.8

So, do any of you guys (or gals) know if the XDM 45 3.8 will work in the 721 O.T. made for the XD 45 4". If so, how is the fit? I don't have the gun yet or else I'd track down the holster and try it for myself.

Appreciate any help you may have to offer.

The gun's dimensions are the same, except for the .2" shorter barrel and slide. I'm sure it will fit, but it won't reach all the way to the muzzle of the holster.
