Just tried my load of 748 (26.0 grs) under the Win 55 gr FMJBT. These seem to be real screamers! Have not shot for accuracy as of yet. Anyone have any experience with this powder? Winchester claims 3170 fps. I don't have a chrono so I don't know what I am getting, but the brass is all pilling into a one foot circle! Thanks for any input!

WW-748 is BY FAR my favorite powder for 223 Rem applications. I do not use bullets lighter than 55 grains in my Mini-14. It doesn't shoot the gun show/Midway bulk bullets real well, but feed it Nosler 55 gr. Ballistic Tips and 27.0 grains of 748 (2925 FPS) OR Sierra 69 grain Matchkings over 25.5 grains of 748 (2750 FPS) and that rattly thing will shoot into 1-1/4" @ 100 yards. It might be even better than that, but I can't shoot iron sights any better. DON'T use this data in bolt rifles, and work it up in your own rifle regardless of maker. WSR primers were used in both loads.
