I recently acquired a rifle made by Schultz & Larsen Rifle Company, made in Otterup,Denmark. It's a modei M65DL in.243 Win.Looks like a well made rifle in excellent shape.Stock is similar to the older Weatherby's with rosewood forend tip & grip cap.Any information on it or it"s possible value(95%) would be appreaciated. Thanks in advance,

My source lists a Model 68DL, and I don't recall a Model 65DL. They were high quality rifles and a lot were sold here in the 1960's. I think yours would run in the neighborhood of $600 retail, maybe a bit more in some areas.

The Schultz & Larsen M65DL shows in the 1968 Gun Digest, compiled in 1967. I figure they were made from 1965-1968, S&L model designations seem to correspond to the year introduced. Don't know about current value, it isn't in the Blue Book but in 1968 it listed for $265 when a Sako Forester Deluxe was $285 and a Winchester M70 Deluxe was $275.
