I can't afford high end, and dont trust low end, so I tend to shop in the middle and have been very happy with the fit and finish of my upper and lower receivers. I usually buy them stripped and build my own.
I love my Ballistic Advantage build because I dig the roll mark and exceptional quality, but my workhorse AR's are Anderson lowers with Anderson slickside uppers , they fit great and have been flawless.

I don’t have a single AR that has components from less than 4 suppliers.
Originally, it was do to availability... I wanted ARs but had to choose from only the parts available. Later, everything related to ARs flooded the market at low prices... quality stuff at that, so I assembled rifles for specific reasons with the components that I wanted. |
