I was wondering if anyone knows of a place where I can buy almost new (completely new is OK!) Remington take-off barrels ... I'm interested in building up a Mauser or two. I have run across .300 Win Mag barrels, but would like to find a .308 ... I have heard that the take-offs should run in the $20-$30 range ... is that a reasonable estimate?
Thanks, Saands |

Saands. I have a friend that has a few Remington barrels. I don't know what calibers they are in, but I'll probably see him at the gun show tomorrow. If I remember, I'll ask him if he has any in .308, and if so, what he wants for them. I think he asks about $50 or so, but I'll see what he has.

Saands, Numrich http://www.e-gunparts.com and Hoosier Gun Works http://www.hoosiergunworks.com will both carry the barrels. I'm not so sure you'll get them for the price you mentioned but there are two sources for you. George
