Is there a source for .310 diameter bullets which are the proper size for this caliber?

Have you slugged your bore, to find out if you should actually be using .310" projectiles? Most of the "good" rifles have .311"-.314" bores, but it is not unheard of to have bores as large as .318". Using .310" projectiles would result in sub-standard performance.
For .311", .312", and .313" projectiles, there is a fairly decent selection. Hornady, Remington, Winchester, Sierra, Speer, Barnes, and Woodleigh all make bullets in that range (most of those companies make a variety). And, of course, there is always the option for lead bullets, or jacketed bullets from a smaller manufacturer.
If your bore slugs to .314"-.317", you'll have to shoot appropriately sized lead bullets, or custom jacketed bullets, for best performance.
If the bore slugs to .318", there are several bullets designed for the .318" 8x57mm S Mauser cartridge, that can be used.
