A buddy of mine has a lyman turret press with accessories. I have been wanting to get into reloading for a long time, he has offered me a great deal $50 for everything. Is this type of lyman press good to start out with, is it good quality/good investment?

BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lyman will take care of you. Speaking from (considerable) experience.

RCBS, Dillon, Lyman, Redding, Forster/Bonanza, Hornady are all high-quality companies that will extend warranty courtesy to you.

Lee makes decent carbide die sets.

Always buy quality; it satisfies best.

I have a Lyman turret press that I still use for .270 & 300 Savage even though I have a Dillon 650 that I use for everything else.
It is a good press, I leave the two calibers I use in it always so I don't need to reset anything when I want to load.

Like WESHOOT2 says you better buy it. I have the one that my father used almost thirty years ago. I still us it today and it works fine. It's not the fanciest one on the market but it sure is reliable. Whether it's your first reloader or an addition to your collection you will like it.

Enjoy reloading and enjoy your new press.

Hey, if you change your mind let me know because I'll buy it for that price.
