I WAS going to respond way back then, it just takes me some time to get my thoughts together sometimes. I also had to see Wyatt Earp a few more times to see what Kilmer "actually" said.

Welcome Techhead,
I enjoyed reading through every post on this thread. Mr. Tuttle is way out of line here. There was no reason for him to scream at you! Mr, Tuttle you should be ashamed! 3 years Big deal, Its was a historical question

Jeez Tuttle. Get a grip.
Ya Tuttle. This thread has been resurrected not once but twice. 2001 original, once in 2005 and now in 2008. Where was your watchful eye in 2005? And get this. The original had 12 posts, then 8 and now 14.
If all goes according to Hoyle about the time Obama runs for re-election we should see it again.

Well, if it had been a name-calling food fight, we'd have to shoot ya.
In this case, don't worry abot it. I've done the same thing. Do a search and get a return I just can't leave alone, only to find out the next day that I have started it all over again. |

Sheesh, what timing, Tombstone [which is the one with Kilmer...Wyatt Earp had Costner] was just on the History Channel last night. They were comparing how accurate the movie was to real history, surprisingly, its not terribly far off.
As a side note, that movie seriously reminded me of my desire to get a .357 and a lever action

Tombstone is one of my all-time favorites -- so many great quotes. Here's a whole list of cool quotes from this classic movie:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108358/quotes And Doc really did say (in the movie) "I'll be your huckleberry" meaning "I'll play your game." Last edited by Wobble; July 12, 2009 at 06:51 PM. |

Brought back from the dead three times over eight years. How revolting.

Why don't one of you guys, (Rallyhound seems the logical choice ), just look at the credits of the movie and send a letter to the writer of the screenplay and ask him/her what was said in the script and what it meant.
Something like this; Dear Sir or Madam, For three years some friends and I have been arguing over some dialogue in a movie you wrote called "Tombstone". Can you clear this mystery up for us as it has cost too much time lost in researching, blogging, rewatching the movie and even playing dress-up. Help us please! What does Val mean when he says... Go to the horses mouth, so to speak... any volunteers? |

But RDak seems to have already responded with an explanation that makes complete sense.
Wish they would put that movie on BluRay
