It's time to put the .45 up for a while and play with the 9mm. I have a Glock 19 and a 1991A1. Anyone got some pet loads to share? Looking for super accuracy first and light recoil second. Thanks

I use either Bullseye or Win 231 powder, Win SP primers, and Win 115 gr. FMJ. Here are my pet loads:
Bullseye: 4.6 gr. under 115 gr. FMJ 231: 4.7 gr. under 115 gr. FMJ These are moderate loads with light recoil and good accuracy. Hope this helps, Mikey |

Yep, the Bullseye load is a thumbs-up load. Have shot that one extensively.
Will be experimenting with 124gr HP loads soon, want to try and match my carry ammo, Federal Hydro-shoks. ------------------ Peace through superior firepower... Keith If the 2nd is antiquated, what will happen to the rest. "the right to keep and bear arms." |

I use 231 with 4.7 grains,115 lead rn or 115 fmj. It works great with both of them.very accurate and not much recoil. sj

Hello, Ellis! Here's a couple of 9mm loads that have worked very well for me in Browning HPs, SIG-Sauers, CZ-75s, and several Stars.
Load #1: Sierra 115 gr PJHP/6.2 gr. Unique/FC cases/WW or Fed small pistol primers. LOA~1.03". Ave vel from HP: 1242 ft/sec and it is accurate. Load #2: 124 gr Hornady XTP/6.0 gr Unique/rest of load the same. LOA ~ 1.11". Ave vel from HP: 1243 ft/sec and 1238 ft/sec from the CZ75. This is a most accurate load. Neither are max, but they are on the "warm" end of the scale so I wouldn't increase powder charges except in small increments. best. |

I really like Hodgdon's TiteGroup Powder in a 9mm. It is the cleanest powder I have ever used. After 200 rds. my Glock is as clean as a whistle. I had used Unique and Bullseye for over 30yrs. but replaced them both with TiteGroup. I load the 115 gr. bullets with 4.5 grs. This is a 1150 fps. load in a Glock 17. The OAL I use for RNs is 1.120" and 1.070" for JHP. The RNs are obviously a .050" longer bullet. The max. load is 4.8 grs. with the 115 gr. bullet. As always start low and work up.
