Smith and Wesson M&P 40 take down lever

The take down lever on my m&p 40 will not stay in the 6 o'clock position when I remove the slide. When I clean it I have to manually hold it down. The pistol seems to operate flawlessly other than this. Can anybody tell me if this is a big deal? I really hate to send it in for this because it operates fine.

My 9mm and 45 M&Ps do the same thing. I would say it is normal. No big deal at all.

take down lever

My m+P 9 did the same thing, it was sent in when the white dots on sights fell off. They replaced the take down lever SPRING also - problem fixed.....
