Mine is a Ruger P89. I only bought it to have a 9mm in case .45 acp ever got scarce.
My wife's is a Taurus PT111G2. She picked it out, likes it and shoots it very well. |

What 9mm firearms I've got is irrelevant to what your wife should get.
1. She should be the one posting here and deciding what to get, not you. 2. Read this referenced website: http://www.corneredcat.com This is a website which specifically targets the potential female shooter. 3. Even if you're doing the research and internet communication efforts, the question is too broad and needs to be more specific to revolver, semiauto, brand, size, model, and so on.

The CZ's are my favorites, and have been for a while now.
CZ-75B (Turkish military overrun) CZ-75 Pre-B (round trigger guard, spur hammer, no FPB) CZ-75D PCR Browning Hi Power MKIII HK P7M8, P7 PSP Mauser P-08 Luger Beretta 92FS They are ALL great shooters. Not a polymer frame in the bunch.

Colt 5" 1911
Sig P938 Kahr P9 Kahr CM9 Glock 26 Glock 19 Springfield Armory XD9 I carry the P938, great pocket gun that shoots like a much bigger gun. The Colt 1911 is the most fun to shoot. The XD9 does HD duty.

Smith and Wesson M&P 9C is the only 9mm I own. Nice little gun and extremely reliable. Only complaint is I haven't had good accuracy on any target past 10 yds and only decent accuracy within 10 yds.
Not sure if it's me or the gun because I shoot my other 4 hand guns quite a bit better. |

Bestie is a Belgian made Hi Power (1966) but his stable mate is a Taurus PT99. I'd take either into battle if I didn't have 1911's in 45.

Tallball- I have a Cohai too. Not quite as pretty as the "Mossad" twins, but basically the same gun. I had a Witness .45 in "wonder", and it was great, but I had to let it go due to a cash crunch. I only have one .40 now, a Frankensig P229 that I have more money in then it's worth.
GarandTd-The SR38 has a great DA trigger on it, and the SA isn't bad either. One concern was the wobbly "lock up", but a friend's brother who is a S&W fanatic checked it out and said it wasn't great, but it was "acceptable", and shouldn't be any problem. It shot both .38 spl, and .357 without problems. I didn't let him take it apart except to pull the sideplate and he said it looks better inside than most new S&W guns do, and at a glance, it looks like the parts might swap between guns. |

After 10 years of carry, I have come down to these. The slim LC9S or the Ruger LCR9mm both in a Mitch Rosen holster which rides very tight against the body. I also carry a backup of a Beretta Pico on the opposite side or in a Pocket. I have two Pico's one for carry and one for range.
These are also my favorite shooting firearms which get weekly training sessions. |

I've owned way too many.
I currently own 2 Glock 19s, 2 SIG P229(228), and 1 HK USP 9. Last edited by Tactical Jackalope; June 8, 2017 at 12:55 PM. |

Thanks for the follow up, hemiram. I'd like to add a 357 mag revolver to my collection. The Ruger sp101 snub in stainless comes to mind, but it also comes with a heavy price tag. I had been looking at the Weihrauch Windicator, but wasn't crazy about the hack job on the snub nose barrels.

Well, I haven't seen my choice for 9mm yet. Arcus 94. A Bulgaria version of the High Power. Forged frame and slide, uses HP mags and can be found for low $ since few know what they are.
My other 9mm is the opposite end of the spectrum, HK P7M8. Great pistol but now for sale since I'm afraid to carry it. |

I have a Ruger LC9 and a Ruger SR9c. I have no idea if either would be suitable for your wife but they are worthy of consideration by your wife and you.
