CA: Immediate Action Required!

There are a bunch of anti-gun/anti-hunter bills on the floor of both chambers with more coming. PLEASE, call and email your Senator and Assemblyman and demand a NO vote on any and all of these bills. (It is crunch time and we're fixing to get screwed big time).

The majority of them passed. Time to ask Gov. Brown for veto on these bills. Use http://www.DemandRights.com to send an email, fax and hand delivered letter asking for veto. Share it! We've sent over 40k letters so far. We need 3 times that.

Calif passes "List" ban!

AB169 passed making all handguns not on the safe list illegal to transfer.
This means you can't pass dad's pld police sidearm to the kids.
The list changes often and there's more guns OFF the list than on it!
Woe are we here in Calif!

Assembly Bill 169 (Dickinson) bans the sale and transfer of all lawfully acquired firearms that were never, or are no longer, on the California roster of approved handguns.

This is only one of several bills. To see the list, go here: NRA-ILA | California: D-Day is Looming for Several Anti-Gun/Anti-Hunting Bills Pending in the state Senate and Assembly

Merging with the other thread.

AB231 was also passed. It's meant to encourage safe storage of guns so children cannot access them.

Geez the gun laws in California seem to get more and more unrealistic with each passing session of the state's legislature.

So, it is still legal when following all other applicable laws to bring handguns into the state that are not on the list, but they are just unable to be transferred now. Is this correct?

I feel for all the good people left in California. There can't be many of you left there.

I'm saying a prayer that all of you who are left and want to get out find the means to do so.

Regards,

Rob

I have to admit, all this staunch activism against California's new gun laws seems a little ridiculous to me. The rest of us in the free states have already written off California a long time ago. Their state laws are already staunchly anti-gun. Their state legislature and governor are already staunchly anti-gun. So now they're getting even more anti-gun? Wow. Big surprise.

Look, pro-gun Californians are fighting a losing battle, and they have been for a while. Even if they somehow manage to stop a few of these new laws, they're still going to live in one of the most anti-gun states in the country. From what I can see, the only hope for California is that their gun laws get challenged in federal court and eventually make it to the Supreme Court, where they're overturned for being unconstitutional. And the more oppressive and anti-Second Amendment their gun laws become, the more likely they'll be overturned, setting a new and wonderful precedent for California and for the rest of the country.

So I think we pro-gun people should be rooting for all of these new anti-gun laws in California to be signed into law.

Why?

When their crime rate fails to go down or increases, they will complain that it is because your state is supplying firearms to the criminal element in CA. They will then shift their focus to your state (having, "won" in CA and now having funds freed up to lobby in your state).

CA is worth fighting for.
